VTTA MID WEEK SERIES 3

The first time in 12 events that we have had rain, in spite of this 5 riders turned up but no time keeper. We drew straws to decide who was to be timekeeper and Clive Tomblin drew the short one. The start was delayed by 10 minutes to avoid a heavy shower but when we did start conditions were quite acceptable with just a light drizzle unfortunately on the way back to our cars we were caught in a downpour and finished up getting soaked. Syd Wilson rode out to the event and pushed off again, the round trip for his training ride was 60 miles. Below are the results

VTTA MID WEEK SERIES

Six riders today and we all kept dry, a cool breeze across the course. Two new faces on the start line - Barry Ferguson a fixed wheel man from the Rutland rode 82 inch gear and did a great ride, Clive Tomblin was the other fixed wheel rider - he came out to help out with the event but was persuaded to ride round - he only had 69 inch gear, so his time was quite acceptable. Daryl May gave us a little hope as he rode out to the event on his training bike complete with mudguards, but he still managed to finish on top of the pile of fastest on actual. Also thanks to Syd Wilson who also rode out to the event and did the pushing off. Below are the results for the second week: Neil.

John Williams

It is with sadness that we have to report the death of John Williams of the Rockingham CC, we have no details at the moment, but as he lived in Scotland it will be one member where Nth Mids members will not be at the funeral in force. Our condolences go to his family
